HEI – Hunter of Events Interface

P. Vanacore, C. A. Colucci, A. Sorgente

HEI (Hunter of Events Interface) is an assisted tool for semantic annotation of natural language texts and multimedia.

The plugin architecture allows you to extend the tool functionality with respect to:

  • format of the reference ontology (import plugins);
  • automatic annotation (annotation plugins);
  • annotation export formats (export plugins).

Available Plugins

Import Plugins

F2ImportPlugin Import Flora-2 reference ontology.

Automatic annotation Plugins

EventDetectorPlugin Event annotation in Natural Language Text by SMCMS REST Service.
DandelionPlugin Entity annotation in Natural Language Text by Named Entity Recognition (NER) Dandelion API.

Export Plugins

F2ExportPlugin Export annotations in Flora-2.
JSONExportPlugin Export in the multimedia SMCMS lab – JSON based – format.
The plugin uses the Ivona TTS and the FFMpeg tool for audio/video processing.
NEO4JExportPlugin Export annotations in Neo4J graph.
SMILExportPlugin Export in SMIL format.
The plugin uses the Ivona TTS and the FFMpeg tool for audio/video processing.
VideoExportPlugin Export in video format (webm).
The plugin uses the Ivona TTS and the FFMpeg tool for audio/video processing.
